Emery High School (EHS) held a Relay for Life dance at EHS in the old gym.
Students from EHS where invited to attend in support of those who have died, are diagnosed with, or have survived cancer.
The dance lasted from 7 to 10 p.m. on April 8, 2011. The dance was meant to raise money for all who are affected by cancer.
The dance was planned by Wylie Nelson who is a survivor of leukemia and an EHS student.
When Nelson was asked what he had learned from his experience with leukemia and why he was involved in Relay For Life, he said, “I don’t want kids to go through what I’ve been through.”
The Relay For Life event will take place on July 15-16, 2011 at the EHS track.
