Ninth grade students at Canyon View Junior High hosted their closing program on Wednesday at Canyon View Junior High. The evening began with a welcome from Erin Hurst, 2014 class president. Principal Jim Jones, science teacher Yvonne Jensen and history teacher Dean Stilson introduced the 2014 ninth grade class and awarded the certificates.
Awards were presented by teacher Curt Collard and Andy Pollaehne while speeches were given by Honor Society members Simone Burton, Daryl Guymon Ty Mecham and Tarryn Parkins.
The ninth grade class sang a musical number “Leave You With a Smile” and the audience enjoyed a slideshow that highlight the school year. Closing remarks were given by class officers Jaymin Bertuzzi and Makayla Jensen.
