The Inaugural Moab Pride Festival will be held on Oct. 1 in Old City Park. This is going to be a very family friendly event, with a community march starting at Swanny Park at noon, and festivities starting in Old City Park at 2 p.m. There will be live music, speakers, games and crafts, and much more.
The festival planning is underway, and the community response has been amazing. The next community meeting will be held on June 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the large conference room at the Grand County Public Library. This meeting is open to all members of the community, so please tell anyone that you think might be interested in attending.
During this meeting we will be voting on a slogan for the festival, so come armed with all of your wonderful ideas. We will also be discussing some fundraising events and possible partnerships with area non-profits so this will be a great time to have your voice heard.
This event is going to be great, as events in Moab are, and we look forward to working with all of you. Feel free to contact us with any ideas, concerns, progress, etc. at Moabpride@gmail.com.
We look forward to hearing your input during the next meeting and throughout this process.
