Carbon County residents filled the stands of the Carbon County Fairgrounds for the Demolition Derby on Saturday.
The event began at 6 p.m. with the National Anthem, sung by Jennifer Lopez, and continued with three heats of cars crashing and destroying each other in a real-life game of bumper cars.
Prizes were drawn during intermission, after which the cars resumed their places in the arena for three more rounds of demolition.
