Huntington City kicked off its annual celebration with the Heritage Days Rodeo on Friday at the Huntington Rodeo Grounds. The main event began at 8 p.m. with the kid’s rodeo starting at 7.
Some of the night’s local winners were Erin Gordon in the barrel racing with a time of 19.995, and Cliff McElprang with Gavin Oviatt in the hide races with a time of 11.216.
Some of the other local participants were: Ky Jensen (Bronc riding), Miranda Miller (barrel racing), and Dillon Wilstead , Louie Ivie, Hadley Cloward, Kevin Gordon and Dawnette Gordon (team roping).
The rodeo continues Saturday night, with the main event again at 8 p.m., and the kids rodeo preceding at 7 p.m.
