The Carbon County Historical Society met Thursday night at the new Senior Citizen’s Center.
The speaker was Mike Martinez, and he talked about growing up in Castle Gate.
Martinez lived there from 1957 to 1974. His family was the last to leave the area.
Martinez will be writing his story in the society’s journal. This year’s journal will focus on Castle Gate.
In other news, the society received five purple glass panes from the old Price tabernacle on Main Street.
The Historical Society meets the last Thursday of every month.
