Emery Telcom hosted a blood drive for the American Red Cross at its Orangeville office on Tuesday. With a full appointment schedule, many volunteers kindly donated, making the blood drive a success.
The American Red Cross recently issued an urgent call for blood and platelet donations as a looming blood shortage increases. Donations are down about 8% over the last 11 weeks nationally. There is a need for all blood types, especially O-negative, B-negative and A-negative.
