Millsite Golf Course and Ferron City hosted an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the back nine Saturday.
Course designer Kris Abeggien said the long winter and cold spring left the new holes with young grass that might make play fairly difficult until the grass matures.
Abeggien also said golfers shouldn’t worry that the course will become too easy, citing Millsite’s reputation as one of the most difficult courses around.
Abeggien quipped, “This course teaches you how to play golf: hit the ball and find it.”
