The Green River baseball team finished up the preseason with a convincing doubleheader sweep of Intermountain Christian on Friday.
Winning pitcher Chance Pfander got all the run support he would need as the Pirate bats exploded for 10 first-inning runs in a 19-9 route.
Spencer Marshall led the offensive attack with a homerun and double. Greg Johnson, Hunter Jones and Justin Johnson also recorded doubles.
Game two proved to be more of a challenge, but Green River turned a sloppily played game into a 7-4 victory.
TJ Hughes got the win and Nick Corrigan sparked the offense with a double.
Both teams combined to make 15 errors on the day.
Green River opens Region 18 play against Manila on Friday at 2 p.m. in Green River.
