A driver of a passenger car fell asleep Monday evening while traveling Highway 6 near the Carbonville turnoff in Price.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Sergeant David Bennion, the motorist was traveling eastbound on Highway 6 when he fell asleep at the wheel. The car crossed all four lanes of traffic and careened off the roadway into a thicket of trees.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the driver of the car to Castleview Hospital for minor injuries.
According to Sgt. Bennion, the incident is still under investigation.
