Representatives from Blue Castle Holdings, the organization planning to build and operate a nuclear power plan in Green River, will headline Economic Summit at the Museum of the San Rafael on Wednesday.
The group will start speaking at about 8:15 a.m. while attendees have breakfast. Registration for the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast to follow.
Tyler Jeffs said he expects the representatives to speak about many topics including employment opportunities, land prices and other effects a nuclear power plant would have on the area.
The summit will also include breakout sessions, guest speakers, lunch at Millsite Golf Course, free watermelons and a round of golf on the new back nine.
“This event is designed to help business people interact with one another,” Jeffs said. “We want people to learn what drivers affect our economy. We’re also trying to get people to shop local.”
Jeffs said the event will also be open to the general public and invites everyone to attend.
“Why wouldn’t you want to know about the nuclear power plant if you live in Carbon or Emery County?” Jeffs said.
