Twelve contestants will compete for the Miss USU Eastern beauty pageant on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Geary Theatre.
In the second annual Miss USU Eastern scholarship program, contestants will participate in five competitions including an interview, lifestyle and fitness portion, talent portion and eveningwear portion. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to USU Eastern and will represent the college at the Miss Utah pageant.
Last year’s winner, Harley Earl, will co-host the event with Ben Bjarnson, USU Eastern’s student body president. Tickets are $3 with a valid USU Eastern student ID and $5 for the general public.
The women competing in the pageant are Taylie Woodruff, Kyanna Garrison, Kiahna Hines, Danielle Parke, Shanae Jensen, Ciera Acerson, Rachel Rose, Marissa Tanner-Dennis, Alyssa Richard, Kaylee Denver, Kira Tadehara and Mireya Molina. Each contestant has chosen a service-centered platform to run on.
