Emery County Commissioners voted Tuesday to approve a cooperative law enforcement agreement between the Emery County Sheriff’s Department and Manti-La Sal National Forest.
The agreement meant Sheriff’s Deputies would patrol the Federal land. The Sheriff’s Department would receive compensation for its deputies’ services.
In other news, the 2012 Commission meeting schedule was approved. The first meeting was scheduled for Jan. 13. The meetings were moved from every second and fourth Tuesday in 2011 to every second and fourth Friday in 2012.
Meetings of note included Aug. 28, which was scheduled for Green River, and Dec. 18, which was the only December meeting scheduled.
Tuesday’s meeting was the last meeting for 2011.
