The body discovered by Price Water Improvement District workers in a sewer manhole Monday morning has been identified by the Office of the Medical Examiner as Christopher Robertson.
Robertson, who was 38, had been reported missing to the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 29 by his mother, Emma Robertson.
The autopsy was conducted Tuesday. Details from the examination were not immediately released.
PRIWID workers discovered Christopher Robertson’s body in a manhole at approximately 8 a.m. Monday. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the site at 10:29 a.m.
Sheriff James Cordova confirmed that the discovery was what had kept the Carbon County Sheriff’s Department, and Hazardous Materials and Fire Crews, working for most of the day on Highway 6 between Price and Wellington near the entrance to Liberty Estates.
Cordova reported, “PRWID workers were doing spot checks on their sewer system and pulled the man hole cover and found the body in their sewer system.”
The Sheriff’s Office received the call from PRIWID early Monday. According to Cordova, the body was “found during regular maintenance.”
