The Carbon County School Board approved Wednesday plans to support the 2012 Apples For Teachers program.
The program would start in January and continue throughout the calendar year. One teacher would receive an award every month.
Anyone would be able to make a nomination. Board Members discussed rewarding the nominator if his or her nomination won the award.
A wall would display winners’ photos throughout the year.
Notes:
- Board Members granted travel five travel requests to Carbon High School sports teams. According to UHSAA bylaws, teams wishing to travel more than 150 miles to compete in non-region events must receive approval from their respective school boards.
