South Sevier scored 43 points in the first half to open an insurmountable lead as Emery fell 76-55 Friday night in Monroe.
The Spartans found themselves down 20 points at the half and never recovered.
Dawson Jensen led the Spartans with 16 points. Logan Tuttle was the only other Spartan to reach double digits as he scored 10 points.
South Sevier’s Race Parsons and Patrick Baker scored 20 and 19 points, respectively. Austin Clark added 18 points.
Emery fell to 4-6 on the season and 0-1 in Region 15.
The Spartans play host to rival Carbon at 7 p.m. Saturday. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10.
