Students of Orangeville’s Cottonwood Elementary entered their school gymnasium Thursday morning to find their principal, John Hughes, arrayed in a different outfit than the normal shirt and tie he normally sports.
Dressed in a jumpsuit, Hughes met his students as a way to reward them for their stellar work in collecting a total of 996 boxtops for the school to assist in funding.
As a reward, the students from each grade who raised the most boxtops were allowed 60 seconds to turn their principal into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
The students enjoyed the chance and, afterward, members of the faculty were given a chance to join in the action as well.
