Just three days shy of Halloween day, superheroes, wizards, ghosts and more gathered in the Rio Theater’s parking lot on Helper’s Main Street to celebrate the holiday spirit with a trunk or treat and “Hocus Pocus” event.
Many businesses, organizations and individuals in the community decked out their vehicles with different themes such as Harry Potter, fortune telling and the like to hand out goodies to those that visited. Games such as bean bag toss and a fish pond were also available for entertainment.
Awards were given out for a number of categories, voted on by those in attendance. After everyone had gathered their goodies, a viewing of “Hocus Pocus” took place inside the Rio Theater.
