About a year and a half ago Melissa Allred started refinishing furniture in her basement. She was encouraged by her husband Cody to begin selling her treasures online. This was the beginning of her business. On Nov. 30 she opened her shop at 360 South 200 West in Huntington.
The shop is full of charm and eye appeal in each piece of furniture and decorating accessory. Allred loves to see the looks on her clients’ faces when they see the finished product. Her business hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with extended hours until five on Wednesdays.
Sometimes she will also be open on Saturdays. However, these hours are seasonal due to the activities her children are involved in. She can be reached at (435) 749-2478 if the shop is closed. The Chamber of Commerce welcomed her with a ribbon cutting and certificate of membership.
