The next AARP driver safety class hosted by the Carbon County Senior Center is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17 from 1 – 5 p.m. The class is open to both members of AARP and non-members. The cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members.
The four-hour course will present research based safety strategies and teach drivers how they can boost safety and improve their driving skill, how crash risks can be minimized, how driers can increase confidence in their driving, prolong mobility and maintain independence.
By law, those completing the course are eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance premiums that will remain in effect for three years. There are no tests given in the driver safety class.
