A two vehicle accident occurred just before 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the intersection of 700 East and Main Street in Price.
According to Price City Police Officer David Wilkinson, a passenger car driven by Desteney Hansen, 19, along with passenger Matt Richardson, 19, was traveling east on Main Street when the vehicle collided with a small truck driven by Jessica Gallegos, 27.
Wilkinson explained that Hansen failed to yield for a red light and was cited for doing so. “Unfortunately, this type of accident is quite common at this particular intersection,” Wilkinson stated. “People just need to pay attention and slow down.”
All three individuals were transported by ambulance to Castleview Hospital.
Neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the incident.
