At approximately 12:06 p.m. on Thursday, authorities were notified of a single car accident that took place in Indian Canyon on SR-191.
The accident resulted in the vehicle, a grey Pontiac Grand Prix, and driver landing in a steep embankment. Due to the nature of the accident, the Southbound lanes were temporarily blocked to allow a safe extraction. Life Flight arrived at the scene, landing on Emma Park Road to transport the driver, a female reportedly in her 70’s.
Injuries were reported from the accident and the driver was in and out of consciousness but was aware when awake. The roads were re-opened at 1:12 p.m.
