Press Release
On Thursday, April 18, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a joint exercise for local law enforcement, emergency medical services, Castleview Hospital and Carbon County School District. This exercise will take place at 10 a.m. at Carbon High School.
The focus of this exercise is to make it as realistic as possible. Law enforcement and emergency medical services will respond with lights and sirens as they would in a real situation. Law enforcement will respond as needed to make the scene safe. Medical care will be provided to the victim actors and they will be transported.
We are committed to keeping the community informed of incidents rather an exercise or real. We do this in several ways; the most current information will be on the Carbon County Sheriff Facebook page because it is easily accessible by the majority of citizens in our community. We work closely with local media and they help us get the information out to the public through the newspaper, radio and social media. Last, but certainly one of the most important ways we can let you know what’s going on, is through the reverse notification system Alert Sense. If you are not already registered, please register now by clicking here. This is a phone call, text message and email that come directly to your cell phone or email. You will not get “junk” or promotional calls/ texts/emails by registering; it is strictly used for emergency notifications only.
