Carbon opened its first game of the football season on the road on Friday night at American Leadership Academy (ALA). The Dinos were able to put up six points on the board in the first quarter, but that would be it. ALA scored in every quarter and went on to win 38-6.

The Dinos’ lone touchdown in the game was scored off of a three-yard run by Ridic Migliori at the six-minute mark of the first quarter. Carbon missed the kick for the extra point and after the first quarter, ALA had racked up a 14-6 lead.

American Leadership Academy went on to put up 24 unanswered points to take the non-region victory.

The Dinos will have to clean some things up as they had nine penalties for 75 yards in the contest. Carbon will have a bye and then be on the road for the next two weeks, starting with Duchesne on Thursday, Aug. 29. Duchesne won its opening game, abasing Enterprise 20-14.
