An Island Tea Party for Many Little Princesses

Many local Little princesses escorted by their Mom, Grandma, Aunt, or friend to attend the annual Princess Tea Party at the Recreation Center in Castle Dale on Saturday.  The fun social event, hosted by Nichole and Maurdi Larsen, greets the little girls dressed as their favorite Disney Princess or just as a princess themselves.  Six older girls: Ashlele Ungerman as Cinderella, Alexis Hall as Moana, Taren Miller as Ana, Morgan Hurdsman as Elsa, Shylee Griffin as Aurora, Baylor Griffin as Belle, and Ambree Bennett as Rapunzel assisted the hosts, making sure each participant has an excellent time.

The Tea has become self-sufficient for the past five of the almost 10 years since its beginning.  It began as a fund raiser for the Miss Emery Pageant but is now a non-profit volunteer gala.  Participants wanting to attend the tea need to register months in advance with the Emery County Recreation Center as the number is limited and fills up fast. Each little princess receives a gift bag, t-shirt, lunch and a fun-filled experience. The cost is $20.00 for princesses and $5.00 for accompanying guests.

The decorations this year definitely set an island atmosphere and took a whole week to establish.
