Carbon Dinos filled the high school’s auditorium on Monday afternoon to kickoff the annual Carbon Christmas fundraiser. Members of the student government welcomed their classmates and began to fill them in on the activities for this year.

It was stressed that, while there have been many rumors about the fundraiser, it is still going strong and simply needed a few changes.

The money that is raised during Carbon Christmas is used to assist those that are in need in the community for the holiday season. However, Carbon Christmas is about a lot more than money.

District and administration needed to ensure that rules were followed and the community did not feel harassed in any way. It is easy to get involved and give to the fundraiser with their myriad of activities. Before those activities were explained, the student body engaged in a short trivia activity.

The students were urged to follow the student government and school on social media to stay in-the-know on the happenings. On Dec. 10, Wingers will be hosting a benefit night. On Dec. 11, Taco Time is also hosting their own benefit night. On Dec. 12, the school will play host to an escape room.

Dec. 13 is the night for the midnight movie while Dec. 16 gives talented individuals a chance to show their stuff at Carbon’s Got Talent. A bunco night will be hosted on Dec. 17.

KFC is the place to eat on Dec. 18 as they host the final benefit night for this year and the activities will round out on Dec. 19 with a cake decorating contest as well as the Kiddos and Crowns pageant. Those that wish to sign their young one up may contact the school for more information.
