The highly anticipated annual Ascension St. Matthew’s Shrove Tuesday pancake supper took place once more on Tuesday evening. A strong tradition for many in the community, the supper boasted a large number of attendees looking to enjoy breakfast for dinner.
An event that has taken place for over 30 years, the supper is always a donation basis. This year’s donations were $5 for a single person and $20 for a family. Children that were three years and under were free with an accompanying adult in tow.
The supper was served beginning at 5 p.m .and ending at 8 p.m. The church’s gift shop was also open during the event and many unique items were up for grabs.
