The Prehistoric Museum kicked off archaeology week on Saturday. Participants enjoyed activities including a drum circle, face painting, rock art and a treasure hunt.
This week, the museum will host several lectures to celebrate archaeology week. On Thursday, May 9 the public is welcome to attend a lecture about the Fremont Indians at 7 pm. Friday, a presentation about the history of the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry will be conducted at 7 pm. Both events will take place at the Prehistoric Museum. Finally, tours of Nine Mile Canyon will conclude the week’s events on Saturday. Preregistration is required and can be done at ninemilecanyoncoalition.org.
