An auto pedestrian accident was reported in Orangeville around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. The accident occurred on the corner of 100 South and 100 East.
Emery County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a 911 call that a child had been struck by a vehicle near Cottonwood Elementary in Orangeville. According to reports, the five-year-old boy was riding his bike and was struck by a vehicle making a turn at the corner. The driver of the vehicle stated the sun made it difficult to see, resulting in the accident.
The boy was transported to Castleview Hospital by private vehicle. The extent of possible injuries have not been released at this time.
