East Carbon resident Barbra Shepherd recently retired from Shepherd’s Cafe located in the small town.
Shepherd has served the community for 34 years. Her last full day of working was celebrated on Tuesday as friends, family and community members surprised her with a retirement party.
During the celebration, loved ones in attendance enjoyed a nice dinner while sharing kind words and memories about the retiree. Shepherd was also given a plaque in her honor.
After the night was over, they wished Shepard a successful and fun-filled retirement.
