The Friends of the Helper area have worked through a busy month, receiving several grants for the Helper Express all-inclusive playground. A main grant that the nonprofit wished to highlight was the Larry H. Miller and Gail Miller Family Foundation Grant.
This is a $10,000 matching grant, with the foundation challenging the businesses and people in the area to match it. To assist in raising awareness and funds, the Friends of the Helper Area’s angels, Cindi Curry, Amanda Paiz, Valorie Marietti and Jennifer Arseneau, are hosting a Beach Blanket Bingo in Helper’s Main Street Park.
This event is slated to take place on July 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and there will be meal baskets for sale, as well as a raffle for prizes. Raffle tickets are being printed by Peczuh Printing, who is also donating the cost of printing posters for the fundraiser.
Those that are interested in this event will be able to buy raffle tickets soon at supporting businesses in the area.
