Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Press Release
Ever thought about sharing a passion for hunting with someone else?
Reach out to hundreds, or even thousands, of people by serving as a volunteer hunter education course instructor.
Don’t be concerned if you don’t have any teaching experience, says Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Assistant Hunter Education Coordinator Ja Eggett. “Our training will prepare you to be a good hunter education instructor.”
From late April through early June, the DWR will train new instructors at classes in Clinton and Lehi.
Classes will be conducted as follows:
April 28, 29 and May 12, 13
6–9 p.m.
Clinton Recreational Center
1651 W. 2300 N.
Clinton
May 21, 22 and June 4, 5
6–9 p.m.
Cabela’s
2502 Cabela’s Blvd.
Lehi
Whichever site you register for, you must attend all four nights to be certified as an instructor.
Before you can register for the training classes, you will need to take care of a few online prerequisites. Visit https://go.usa.gov/k5rx to find the documents you need to download, read and complete.
Then, you will need to mail in or drop off the paperwork, along with $15 (to cover the cost of a background check). You can mail or submit your paperwork at:
