BeeHive Homes, already a prominent assisted living facility in Price and Elmo, is expanding with a third facility in the Castle Country area.

Ground was broken for the new branch on Thursday, which will be housed at 75 East 500 North in Price, across the street from Pioneer Park. The 10,000 sq. ft. building will house 16 rooms that can accommodate up to 20 residents.

While the two locations in Castle Country provide the usual amenities for assisted living care facilities, the new location will offer something the local area has never seen before: memory care.

“In keeping with its 27-year-old history of providing exceptional senior care, BeeHive Homes residential care recognizes the need to accommodate the growing number of seniors affected by memory loss conditions and diseases like Alzheimer’s,” BeeHive’s website shares.

To better serve residents, employees at the new BeeHive Homes location will have special training to assist residents with needs related to a fading memory. Owner Richard Nuffer is excited for what this will mean for the community.

“Right now, there is nothing like this in the local area,” he explained. “People have had to travel up north to receive treatment or to visit mom or dad. We are excited to soon offer that care in the local community.”

Construction for the new facility is expected to be completed within six months. For more information, please visit beehivehomes.com or call (435) 250-4255.
