The Carbon County Event Center was packed Wednesday evening as members of the community gathered to enjoy the musical offerings of the Bellamy Brothers and Gates, the opening band for the evening.
The duo began its musical career in the 70s with pop hits before diving into the country music scene in the 80s. The Bellamy Brothers played many of these hits for a large Castle Country crowd.
“The Bellamy Brothers concert was a huge success,” said event organizer Frank Ori. “We had over 600 people attend.”
Ori, who heads the event center for Carbon County, is using this success to bring even more entertainment to the area.
“We have been able to sign Sawyer Brown to come play at the event center Feb. 24,” Ori said. “Tickets will go on sale for that show very soon. I’m so happy that we are able to provide this type of entertainment for our citizens in Carbon and Emery counties.”
