The Brianne Simmons benefit dinner drew hundreds of compassionate community members to Canyon View Junior High School in Huntington on Wednesday.

Simmons is a mother of four young daughters and was recently widowed. Simmons is currently locked in a battle with cervical cancer.

The event was designed to help cover a portion of the family’s substantial medical costs.

The dinner was accompanied by a silent auction, a bake sale, bouncy toys for kids, and goods and services sales.

Long lines filled the school’s halls throughout the night.

A donation account has been set up at Zions Bank. The account is open to anyone who wants to contribute.
