Benny Lewis Timothy, Born November 08, 1965 to Joyce Alice Powell Timothy and Edwin Lewis Timothy Died March 25, 2019
A person’s life cannot always be summed up in simple terms sometimes it’s complicated. We can’t always know a person by what we see at first glance or what little we know about the life they live, and this was surely the case with our Benny Lewis Timothy. In his youth, he was a boy like any other with a laugh that was contagious, a spirit that was tenacious and heart as big as the sky. He loved to climb trees, get dirty and tease his younger siblings to the brink of insanity. As a young teen, he enjoyed camping, fishing and hanging out with his big brother. His life showed great promise he possessed the ability to deal with the unexpected and it came in handy the day he saved his little sister’s life when she severed an artery in her arm and needed medical attention, he kept calm, wrapped the wound to slow the bleeding and took her to help. In his adolescence, he worked hard keeping a job while graduating from high school with good grades. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the army and after completing basic training he returned home for a holiday before being stationed. We could never know this holiday would change life as we knew it, he was involved in a tragic accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury that robbed him of being the man he was planning to be and started a lifelong journey of torment, suffering with pain and struggle. On March 25th, 2019 his torment, suffering, pain and struggles ended when God finally called him home to rest where our Mama and big brother were waiting to greet him. It was sometime difficult to understand our Ben but loving him was easy and even though he possessed the ability to drive us all crazy we will miss him dearly.
