Betty J. Marx, former East Carbon resident, passed away surrounded by family, after a short but courageous battle with cancer on October 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Max Marx.
Betty was an active member of the community in the 29 years she lived in East Carbon. She drove school bus for 14 years, cooked at the Senior Center and was cofounder of the ABC Learning Center.
Betty leaves behind 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
At her request, she will be laid to rest next to Max on their wedding anniversary.
Please join us for a simple graveside service on Friday, June 28, 2019 in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery at 2:00 PM.
There will be a gathering for family and friends immediately following at the East Pavilion in the city park.
