Carbon County is requesting bids for asphalt preservation in parking lots.
Bids must include type method of application, type of material being used, application rate, along with bill of lading. Material will be tested during the length of the project, by a qualified engineer that Carbon County has chosen. Application rates must also be included, along with a warranty.
Bidders must include with the packet where this product has been used and the longevity of said product for area/climate/ traffic.
Carbon County will review all bids and have the final say on what product will work best for their property.
Contractors must also include a detailed description of the cleaning preparation they will use prior to preforming work listed.
After work is completed contractor will be required to repaint all parking stalls to ADA compliance along with 2 coats of paint are required along with a 15 day cure time before 2nd coat is applied. Lay out of describe work will be the responsibility of the contractor and approved by an authorized member of Carbon County.
Contractors are responsible for all traffic control and signage.
Asphalt temperature must be at least 55 and rising degrees before preforming any seal work.
Bids are due at the Carbon County clerks’ office at 751 East 100 North Suite #1100 Price, Utah 84501, prior to 3:00 p.m. on February 19, 2020

Carbon County is not responsible for bids that are late due to delays in delivery by any source. Faxed and emailed bids are not acceptable.
Bids will be opened during the regularly scheduled Carbon County Commission meeting at 4:30 p.m. on February 19, 2020 at the aforementioned address in the Commission Chambers.
Carbon County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality of any bid and to select the bid which in the opinion of the County provides the best product, warranty and/or service to the County.
