In the five months Big Mountain Lodge has been open in Ferron, it has grown to a “one stop serves all” business. The location now features a restaurant, eight cabins, nine motel rooms, a soon-to-come tire shop and propane along with the original convenience store and fuel pumps.
To celebrate, the owners offered complimentary doughnuts, pizza and drinks to all their customers during a grand opening celebration on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The restaurant, located on the Main Street side of the complex, features a pizzeria and grill with a full dinner and kids’ menu. The Lodge Grill and Pizzeria is for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday morning for breakfast at 7 a.m.
The cabin and motel rooms are all refurbished with new mattresses and décor. The tire shop will include repair as well as retail tires for ATVs, tractors, trucks and cars.
Big Mountain Lodge also has bulk propane for customers. At the fuel pumps, dyed diesel, diesel and gas as well as premium and midrange fuel for ATVs are available. All this is located at 15 North State Street in Ferron.
