BLM Announces Summer Schedule for the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry

The Bureau of Land Management, Price Field Office, announces the summer schedule for the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry beginning June 1.

The quarry is open Thursdays through Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of Sundays, when it is open noon to 5 p.m.В  The quarry will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The current schedule will be in place for the months of June, July, and August with the Quarry closing to the general public at the end of August.

Inside the Quarry, discover one of the world’s foremost fossil resources. Observe the bones of dinosaurs – excavated, yet to be excavated, and replicas – and imagine what life was like in this exact spot during the time of the dinosaur. After discovering inside the Quarry, continue to the picnic tables for a break and to the hiking trails to continue the adventure.

The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry is located approximately 30 miles south of Price, Utah, at the end of a gravel road. From Price, take Hwy 10 south to the Cleveland/Elmo turnoff. Then follow the “Dinosaur Quarry” signs located at the intersections. The last 12 miles are on graded unpaved road. From Huntington, take Hwy 10 north to the Cleveland turnoff. In Cleveland, go south toward the San Rafael and follow the signs.The last 13 miles are graded unpaved road.
