ConocoPhillips and Price City invite the community to participate in the second blood drive of the year in which they will attempt to reach the goal of “100 units for 100 years” to celebrate the City’s Centennial.

“The first one went so well, that we’re going to try it again,” said Conoco Phillips’ Ryan Peterson.

The blood drive will be conducted on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carbon County Events Center located at 310 South Fairgrounds Road.

Peterson hopes that fear will not keep people away from the opportunity to make such a difference to those who need the donated blood. “It is such an easy process,” said Peterson.”Such a small amount of pain for such a big reward.”

Typically ConocoPhillips sets a goal to have 20-50 people donate, but the Centennial Celebration prompted the idea to try for much more. At a May Price City Council meeting, Peterson explained that the idea came from a conversation he had with Councilperson Jeanne McEvoy.

If you are interested in donating, Peterson said walk-ins are welcome. But with a blood drive of this size, he would prefer that people call and schedule an appointment. To schedule a time, call Peterson at 435-820-6821.
