A body was found in a spillway Wednesday evening in Helper.
Helper Police officers were dispatched to the spillway on Main Street directly across from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. While on scene police found a man’s body. Helper Police Chief Trent Anderson was reluctant to release any information except the apparent cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man appeared to be in his 20’s. Utah Highway Patrol and Carbon County Sheriff’s Office also aided in the investigation.
