After years of hard work and community effort, the Boys and Girl’s Club of Carbon County officially opened the doors of its new building on Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The club is open to all junior high and high school area kids. Soon a grade school component will also be operating at the center. The Boys and Girls Club provides a safe environment for teens to hang out. It also engages members in educational and fun activities year round. All students attending the center are well supervised.

The open house included tours of the facility and what programs the club is offering. Remodeled areas include a game area, kitchen and cooking facility, meeting space and a technology center filled with computers and monitors donated by Emery Telcom and the Price Kiwanis club.
