Brielle Bogdin was crowned Miss Carbon County 2014 on Saturday evening. This year, the theme of the pageant was “Get Your Sparkle On!”
Bogdin competed against three other contestants including Korrin Olson, Taylor Teuscher and Charielle Basso.
The contestants all had a platform. Bogdin’s was “Gun Safety,” Olson’s was “Staying Substance Free,” Teuscher’s was “Get Up and Dance” and Basso’s was “Children Deserve a Choice.”
In addition, each girl participated in a talent portion of the competition. Olson played the piano while the other three performed dance routines.
The audience was treated with special guest performances by Encore Dance Studio, Carbon High Vocal Jazz, Dance Technica and the Carbon High Drum Line. Miss Carbon County 2013 Alexis Matthews and Little Miss Carbon County 2013 Rylie Frandsen also performed.
