Students at Bruin Point Elementary were treated to a special gift last week thanks to many generous donations from teachers and members of the community. Every student in the school received a new backpack stuffed with goodies to celebrate the holiday season.
Mrs. Palmer ran a backpack campaign that collected a backpack for each student in the school. Additionally, East Carbon City purchased hats, mittens and scarves while the Rotary Club donated a bag of candy for each student. Finally, Mrs. Grundy put together the gifts and added a book for the students in the school.
Students spent time opening the backpacks and enjoying their gifts throughout the school day.
“Seeing the joy on their faces was priceless,” Bruin Point staff shared on social media. “We love our jobs.”
