Emery dropped a 12-4 decision to Gunnison in a non-region tilt in Castle Dale on Tuesday.
Emery out hit Gunnison 11-8, but four errors proved to be too much for Emery to overcome.
Kash Jewkes and Tanner Ewell both hit doubles for Emery.
Nathan Mecham took the loss on a day when five Spartan pitchers saw action.
Emery’s next contest will be at North Sanpete on Friday.
