Price City’s International Days celebration continued Saturday with a Burnout competition near the Peace Gardens that filled the air will smoke and a near unbearable stench.

A Utah Highway Patrol 911 Charger won the competition, but officers said they only participated to entertain the crowd. The officers forfeited the prizes.

The forfeiture left Scotty Manchester and his Ford Ranger as the winner. Manchester won $50 and a $400 gift certificate to GCR tires.

Joe Stout finished second in a ’69 Camaro. Dick Godin was third in a ’40 Plymouth. The two competitors took home $50 apiece.

Burnouts are illegal outside of professional performances and competitions.
