Bicyclewerks began offering quality bicycles and repair services to the local community in 2006. Since then, owner Mark Jespersen and manager Fuzzy have expanded the store to offer something for every adventure seeker in Carbon and Emery counties.
“There was a need to have a quality bike shop in town,” Jespersen explained. “But now, we’re more than just bikes.”
Bicyclewerks is known for its high-quality bicycles, ranging from bikes for youth, family bikes, mountain bikes and road bikes and offering brands such as Specialized, Santa Cruz, Rocky Mountain and Diamondback.
“When we can, we focus on high-quality, Utah products,” Fuzzy explained.
Not only can customers buy a bike for each family member from the store, but on-site professionals offer repair services throughout the life of any bike, regardless of it it was purchased at Bicyclewerks or not. Repair services are also offered for skis and snowboards. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg at Bicyclewerks.
“We have hydration, hydration packs, health and nutrition products, exercise and fitness products, yoga products, hammocks, camping gear and so much more,” Jespersen said.
Customers can also find clothing, mostly bike-specific, at the store along with helmets, goggles, gloves, beanies and more. Altra running shoes highlight some of the non-bike related merchandise. These shoes are revolutionizing the shoe market with its patented technology, be it for the running enthusiast or for casual/everyday wear. Jespersen hopes to keep expanding Bicyclewerks, aiming to offer a variety of camping and climbing gear in the near future.
In addition to products for sale at Bicyclewerks, customers can also find rentals at the store. Snowboards, paddleboards and bicycles are among the most popular products available for rent to customers. Products are available for one-day rental or days-long outings.
