Christy’s Salon Sensations has been in business for nearly 26 years. Licensed cosmetologist Christy Collard made the decision to become a hairdresser so that she could work and still be a mom. Nine years ago, her daughter Katie Brady joined her at the salon.
Brady always wanted to be a hairdresser. Collard remembers that from the time Brady was little, she would have her friends over and play hairdresser with them. Her dad, Dean Collard, really wanted her to have a college education, so Brady went to school and received her associates degree in business and then went on to cosmetology school.
“Katie is an exceptional hairdresser,” Collard stated.
When a customer walks into Christy’s Salon Sensations they will find a fun, friendly environment. With the mother/daughter duo, there is never a dull moment when going to the salon. They have a very good chemistry and have been referred to as the “mom and daughter show.”
Christy’s Salon Sensations carries a variety of hair care products such as Matrix Biolage, Joico, ISO, Scruples and many others. In addition, Collard and Brady take special orders for hair care products.
Some of the many services provided at Christy’s Salon Sensations are haircuts, colors, hair styling, perms, wraps, hair extensions and nails. Additionally, customers can enjoy tanning beds, which were added when the salon expanded four years ago.
