Business Spotlight: Cottage Signs

Cottage Signs has been in business since 2002 and is owned and operated by Christina Edmunds Langstein. Langstein has always had a passion for art and remembers that as a young girl, she always had a coloring book and crayons with her. She remembers her mother disciplining her by taking away her crayons.

Langstein took art classes in high school and acquired her knowledge of logo design, media technique and screen printing at the Utah Technical College. She attended classes at Montana State University Billings for commercial and fine arts, later attending Utah State University Eastern for business and accounting courses so that she would be able to successfully run her own business.

Cottage Signs offer industrial, commercial and personal signage, automotive and industry safety signs and decals, storefront signage, banners, custom graphics and vinyl lettering. Vinyl lettering is created by using plasticized PVC to produce thin, colored or clear adhesive-backed films. The sheets and films are also used to create a wide variety of commercial signage products and vehicle pin striping and decals.

Langstein can make businesses stand out from the competition with Gemini standoff building lettering and logos. Standoff, also known as panel mounts, is the method used to mount a sign to provide a three-dimensional appearance.

Some examples of work created by Cottage Signs are Apple Country Crafts and All Scrapped Up, Southeast Education Service Center, Helper City Library, Carbon Copy Center, Happiness Within, Talk of the Town, Desertview Pro Rodeo, Desert Wave Pool, Sass and many more.

Cottage Signs is located at 371 North 600 East in Price and can be reached Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. by calling (435) 636-0429 or (435) 650-0557.
